My Thoughts

Revelation is the first novel in Randi Cooley Wilson’s Revelation series. This series started out with an amazing bang and had me hooked on from the first word.

The book starts with Eve Collins starting her freshman year of college. However, as much as she is looking forward towards a new beginning things start to go haywire and she gets introduced into the supernatural world. And, her life that is seemingly normal is a lie. Eve is a fun character. I love her spunk and her courage. In the short amount of time, her life goes from 0 to 360. She has battles and learns about angels and gargoyles. Throw in Asher St. Michael, her protector, you have even more drama awaiting.

Asher and Eve are an dynamic duo. I love their verbal sparing sessions. They have so much chemistry together, but there are so many sweet moments. Asher is one of my favorite BFs. He reminds me of Daemon Black from JLA’s Lux series. He is broody, snarky, and extremely protective. What is also there to top that he is her protector and there is forbidden romance?

The romance in Eve and Asher is scorching. Randi really knows how to write amazing kissing scenes. In addition, I like how it is a slow burn and couples with the super natural drama.

The entire world building is extremely unique. I like Randi’s take on angels, vampires, and other paranormal creatures. It is extremely unique. There are ton of awesome villains who are truly evil. And the dynamics and behaviors of them such as the mating bond, clan, and family tightness makes me wish I could have them as my own.

The secondary characters are super awesome. I love the London clan, Asher’s family. They are so sweet. And Eve’s best friend, Aria, is unlike others. She is super nice and extremely loving.

Overall, I throughly enjoyed reading this book. It is the great start to an awesome series! I can’t wait to read book two.
