My Thoughts

Restraint is the second novel in Randi’s breathtaking Revelation series. This novel is better than the first one. It was such a roller coaster, suspenseful, and romantic ride.

Eve has gone through so much. This girl is so strong and has endured death, heartbreak, and so many twisted lies. Eve really won me over in this book. I like that she isn’t the naive girl. She is embracing her destiny.

Asher is one of the main reasons why this book was just so awesome. Can this boy get any better? The answer is yes. He is so sweet and swoony. I love the two sides of him: tender and fierce. His love for Eve is so sweet. Despite being forbidden, he protects her and looks out for her.

The romance between Asher and Eve is my favorite part of the novel. It is so hot and forbidden. I love the sneaky kisses and steamy scenes. Plus there is so much growth in their relationship. I like how there are genuine issues between the couple. And there are some twists concerning the two. Brooding Asher in the book really made the romance my favorite.

The entire world building and twists continue getting better. I like how there are more villains. And this novel gives the vibe of a mystery. The Fae, and other traitors are not as black and white. Randi really did herself well in this department.

The only tiny thing I did not like was that Eve was kind of left unattended at times and fell into too many traps. I felt that the whole world being after her was kind of cliched. Otherwise, it did not really bother my reading experience.

And that ending, my god. There was a huge cliffy. Luckily there is a third book to continue.  Superb job Randi on the second installment. I can’t wait to start the third book.
