Lyric Scott has always had a good life. Outgoing, spunky, and musically talented, she’s constantly surrounded by family and friends, yet she still feels there’s something missing.

Then she meets her new next-door neighbor Ayden Gregory. Mysterious, sweet, and sad, Ayden is the exact opposite of Lyric and exactly what she needs to fill the void in her life.

Ayden has been through more than most people and believes his life is always going to be rocky, so when he’s suddenly adopted by the Gregorys, he’s thrown for a turn. But even with a new, loving family, he still finds himself haunted by the memories of his old life. The only true breath of fresh air is when he’s with his best friend, Lyric Scott.

As Lyric and Ayden grow closer, the lines of their friendship start to blur. But when Ayden's past unexpectedly pushes its way into his new life, their friendship and newfound attraction will be tested.

**A novel about Ella and Micha's daughter and Lila and Ethan's son from The Secret Series. However, this series can be read on its own.**

My Thoughts:

Unraveling You is such an awesome and touching first novel in the Unraveling You Series. It features angst, great family moments, and awesome lead characters.

Unraveling You is the first book in a four part saga. It features Ella and Micha’s daughter, Lyric, and Lila and Ethan Gregory’s son Ayden. Ayden has a horrible past. One of unspeakable horrors. He is willingly adopted by the Gregorys, but he does not think he deserves them. Lyric and Ayden are as polar opposites. However, when you put the two of them together it creates a beautiful relationship.

Lyric is one of my favorite heroines to date. She is sweet, spunky, feisty, and just so much fun. Like her parents, she is a music and arts junkie. I love that she is so sweet and patient. Her friendship and unwavering belief in Ayden is just amazing. Also, her friend test of music is just so fun.

Ayden is also an amazing character. He is so strong and my heart breaks for him. He isn’t your typical hero with a bad past who acts like a jerk. He is quiet and does have a bad boy persona. But, he has real scars. His character growth in this book is phenomenal.

The entire side characters and the family are really awesome. I love love Lyric and Ayden’s families. The closeness and the importance of family is one of my favorite parts. This book does not really seem all that unique, but there is just an underlying sweetness.

The romance between Ayden and Lyric is friends to lovers. Due to the novel being so short, we see Ayden and Lyric mainly in the friends phase. I love that they get to know each other truly before the getting together. I can’t wait for that moment to happen!

Great first novel in the series!
